Rebecca's 'World of Difference'

Rebecca Webb is the first member of Vodafone staff to win a place in the Vodafone Foundation’s 2009 World of Difference International Programme offering her the opportunity to work with Build Africa for a year. 

"I am so grateful that the Vodafone Foundation has given me the opportunity to work with Build Africa to make a huge difference to the lives of young people in Uganda and Kenya. I believe that a good education should be available to everyone and I am so happy to be part of a project that will improve the quality of young peoples' lives and provide them with a brighter future."

Rebecca, who has experience of fundraising for Vodafone and a background in Early Childhood Development, couldn't wait to get out to Africa to start work.  After spending a couple of weeks in Tunbridge Wells getting to know us and learning more about her new role, Rebecca is now based in our Nairobi office supporting Programmes Director, Jo Thomas.
