Oliver Kemp - Chief ExecutiveOliver was appointed as Chief Executive in 2010. He originally joined Build Africa in 2008 as the Director of Fundraising and Communications. Previously he set up and ran his own business, and prior to that he ran the fundraising departments at Education Action International and the Haemophilia Society. |

Dame Diana RiggDiana Rigg is an award-winning theatre, film and television actress whose credits include Emma Peel in The Avengers and Tracy di Vincenzo Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Diana has supported Build Africa since 1985, becoming a Patron in 1998. She has been behind many campaigns including our Radio 4 appeal in October 2006. |

Danny WallaceDanny Wallace is a British documentary comedian, writer, television and radio presenter on XFM, living in London. His notable works include the books Join Me and Yes Man and the TV series How to Start Your Own Country. In 2008 Yes Man was made in to a major motion picture starring Jim Carrey. |

Richard DowdenRichard is a journalist and author. He first worked in Africa in the early 1970's as a volunteer teacher in rural Uganda. He then became a journalist, becoming Africa Editor of The Independent and then The Economist. In 2002 he was appointed Director of the Royal African Society. His most recent book, Africa: Altered States, Ordinary Miracles, was published in September 2008 to much acclaim. |

James WilbyJames is a well-known face on stage and screen whose credits include the films Morris, Howard's End, Regeneration, Gosford Park and A Handful of Dust. James has supported Build Africa since 1990, becoming a Patron in 1998. |

Shiulie GhoshShiulie is a news anchor for Al Jazeera International based in Doha. Previously a correspondent and presenter for ITV News, Shiulie was awarded the 2006 Alfred I. Dupont Columbia News Broadcasting Award for her reports on the Asian tsunami. Shiulie has supported Build Africa since 2002. She has visited our work in Africa and helped make a short film about our projects. |

Keith Leslie (Chairman of the Board of Trustees)Keith was appointed a trustee in June 2007 and Treasurer shortly thereafter. He is a partner of Deloitte Management Consultants and non-executive Director of the Tablet Publishing Company. |

Phil VernonPhil was appointed as a board member of ICR in December 2005. He is Director of Programmes for International Alert, a UK-based peace building NGO working in over 20 countries around the globe. |

Mark FlormanMark is an investment banker and private equity professional who has been involved with ICR and Build Africa for many years. He chairs the Build a School Programme and has visited and opened many of our schools. He is also the co-founder of the Centre for Social Justice and an Ambassador to the Royal Albert Hall. |

Claire GillingwaterClaire joined the board in 2008. She is a management coach and has her own business, Dunnell Gillingwater and Associates. |

James Shaw-HamiltonJames joined the board in 2009. He is Director of the Humanitarian Forum, an international alliance designed to build bridges between the 'Western' and 'Muslim' worlds. |

Julie PörksenJulie is a freelance consultant with an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of London. She has worked in international development for many years, most recently as M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) and Research Manager for a leading reproductive health charity working in Africa, Asia and Latin America. |

Karen WestleyKaren is an American who grew up in Kenya. She spent six years working for CARE International, in West Africa and elsewhere. She has also managed the energy and poverty programmes for the Shell Foundation and since 2005 has been a member of the Social Performance team in Shell International's Social Performance Management Unit. |
