Habari Newsletter
Habari! This word in Swahili means both hello and news, and that is what Build Africa's Habari newsletter is all about - popping in to say "hello" three times a year and updating you on all the latest news, campaigns, and of course, success stories of those who have benefited from the work Build Africa is doing in Uganda and Kenya.
Sign up to receive the latest Habari issue via post (don't worry, it's free!) or browse through the Habari archives.
Speakers
Do you enjoy public speaking? We know it isn't for everyone, but if you stand behind Build Africa's efforts and want to spread the good word, than we would be thrilled if you'd like to get involved. Whether it's a business networking event or a coffee morning, we want to reach as many as people as possible to let them know who we are and what we're all about.
For more information on how to become a friendly face and voice for Build Africa, please contact Helen Sharpe at helen@build-africa.org.uk.
Volunteering
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our work in the UK. We'd love to hear from you if you have a talent or expertise we could use. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just starting out, don't hesitate to get in touch. We have loads of exciting projects for you to get involved with.
Community Fundraising
You don't need to come to Tunbridge Wells to volunteer for Build Africa. There's so much you can do right in your own neighborhood, and we are always looking for community fundraisers to organise local events to support our work. So if you want to develop your experience in fundraising, build community spirit, or use your talents to make a real difference, why not organise a quiz night, fete, cabaret or sports contest? We can help you make it a success. Find out how you can become a community fundraiser for Build Africa.

Facebook for Build Africa
Yes, the time has come. Build Africa has joined the ever-growing world of social networking by creating a profile on Facebook.
We are hoping to increase our awareness via this source but also hope to build a school through Facebook.
James Gambrill, Build Africa's Fundraising Manager, says, "We are always looking at new ways to connect with people and what better way than Facebook. If we can encourage 5,000 people to become our friend and even donate £5, we would have enough to build one of the 20 schools we hope to support in the coming year!"
