Our people in Kenya
Build Africa has been working in Kenya since 1997. Currently active in Machakos and Naivasha districts of Kenya we work to ensure that young people receive the education they deserve.
Our Kenyan staff understand the complex issues facing rural Kenya and our education, income generation and HIV/AIDS awareness programmes address the many key issues affecting young people's development. Our projects are designed to have a long term and sustainable impact on the lives of disadvantaged young Kenyans, enabling them to move away from a culture of dependence, vulnerability and conflict. We believe it is crucial that we are led by them in the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of all the projects. Through the donations we receive we help provide young people with a decent education and the ability to save and pursue business opportunities, opening the door to a life free of poverty.
